safari is easy to use....my review

Postby Goes4ever » Sun Jun 28, 2009 10:45 pm

spent the weekend at Buckeyehunters house and he let me use the minelab safari demo model he had for a full days hunt and I was IMPRESSED how easy it is to use!

Mike gave me a two minutes lesson and set me loose on a older home across the street from him, within an hour there I had clad, a token and four wheats. The yard was pretty trashy and the safari just picked those coins right out, some areas were so trashy I could not even pinpoint, but I was able to "X" over the coin by listening to the high tone and dig the coin no problem

I think the safari was a well balanced machine, easy to use, has good depth capablities and I would feel good about recommending it to anyone looking for a nice machine.

How does the Safari hunt on salt water beaches. After reading some of the reviews on the Safari I did not see a beach program.

I am not sure either. I do not hunt beaches so honestly can not tell you how any of them do on beaches except that everyone says the Excaliburs are the best for water/beach hunting.

Are you looking for a machine to hunt the occasional beach or mostly beaches?

I live New England so when we visit the Cape I like to detect the beaches.Otherwise I hunt the normal inland venues(park, schools,)

Considering it is same technology as an E-trac, 28 frequency machine.. I am guessing it would do great with some practice and finding what works best on the beaches
